Mom is Banned.

So I decided to go ahead and post the gifts for mom that I've been working on...she has been temporarily banned from the blog until she actually receives them (which won't be until next Saturday). So anyone that may be seeing mom before then, you can't give her hints!

Anyway--the first is a few views of a fern gourd I carved out. When (if) I do this one again, there are a few things I'd change on it. But even so, I'm still pretty pleased with this version. Second is another contact paper project I started while I was at Sandy's earlier this week. It may not be apparent from the picture but these are two robins (taking pictures of contact paper things may be even more frustrating than taking pictures of gourds...glare is an evil, evil thing). I'm kinda hating the idea of giving this up...but I can do another one for us!

There you have it. I'd love comments on these attempts if anyone feels the urge. Now, I'm trying to finish up some more data before I leave, trying to get packed up, and later we are going up to see 'the girls'. So this be it for today. I'm pretty excited about going home. I just need the time to relax I think. I will be taking a bit of work home but that will be a max of a couple hours a day. Otherwise, I am going to be visiting friends, teaching V to knit in general, teaching Mom to knit felted clogs, sewing another paper piecing project (same as before but with a black cat) for mom (she knows about this one), and just relaxing. I may post while home, if not I'll have stories for you when I get back on the 16th. Hope everyone else has a good week as well!
