Again, the frustrations that occur trying to take pictures of gourds...glare is evil. Anyway, my Dad's birthday is this week so I made a couple things for him. He specifically requested a gourd and while he didn't ask for a specific design, I knew he liked my previous leaf gourd. But I also knew he wanted something more functional (meaning not as much of the gourd cut out). So though I started with an image in mind, this gourd sort of just evolved on it's own. Which I think worked cuz I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Your projects are all beautiful, but the gourd is my favorite. I'm sure your dad will love it. You might want to make yourself a light box. It's easy to do and will take care of your glare problems.
