Lap Rag Quilt -- A 2007 FO

I think that all the holiday gifts are now in the hands of the recipients (well, there are two people who knew they weren't getting their's anytime near the holiday...we are beyond calling them 2007 projects...so far beyond!). Anyway, I'll post the knitting specs of the rest of the things finished up last year later in the week. ..they are just small, quick knits.

Today, a gift for a dear friend who has a very large, very yellow cat named Tug. I found the cat fabric a few years ago and bought it knowing that I would make something for D out of it. I finally decided on a lap rag quilt and so started the process of finding matching flannel for it. Everything was accumulated about a year ago. The next delay? Master of sewing I am not. I know enough to be dangerous. I really wanted this quilt to look nice so I waited until my mom (she is getting tired of me posting about her by the way), came and could help me. Colors
are not quite as bright as the photo would suggest but here it be...
The front...
up close and personal...the back with the 'rag'...
Very pleased with it!
Knitting to come...

Cute quilt! I just acquired far to much fabric to be reasonable for quilt making. I think I have sort of overwhelmed myself, actually.

And I love the Ditty Bops. I saw them in concert, they are really fun live!

Wow, what a nice gift! Very cute. Can your Mom come help me line my cabled bag? The procrastination continues...
