Yarn: ~3/4 skein of Knitpicks Pallette; Calypso Heather
Price of Project: Just over $2. Yarn from stash I bought early in my knitting career.
Project duration: 9/28/08 - 10/12/08
Needles: US 3
Size: The ribbing makes this project fit a pretty large range of sizes.
Modifications: None. I had thought about moving the celtic knot motif up to be more on the hand as lots of folks in Ravelry had done, but in the end, decided I liked it better on the wrist. I'm seeing more of these in my future so may play with placement later.
Ravelry link: Here
Verdict: Love them. They are comfortable, a quick knit, and I like the style and pattern very much. I'm not sure how the yarn will hold up but it felt good to do a bit of stash busting. And Jingles...she says quit modeling and taking pictures and just pet me will ya?
Now Playing: The Hymn of Ordinary Motion by Jerry Douglas, Russ Barenberg, and Edgar Myer on their instrumental album Skip, Hop, Wobble.

Oh those are very pretty Rachel!! Love em...I take it Jingles got some petting :) The mitts look good against her!
very nice!
How pretty! I like the color you used, too. And the model's assistant. ;-)
Those are very nice.
I would love to pet Jingles.
Oooh, those are nice. I've looked at them a couple of times. All gift knitting around here, but my nieces may like those. They'd definitely like Jingles :-)
Those are gorgeous. Beautiful color and stunning pattern@
Lovely work and fab photo. I've not seen that pattern before but am loving it.
Beautiful knit! And just in time for the weather.
You did a GREAT job on those...hmmmm, a shade of blue ? :) Is the thumb not a drag to do. It's the part I really dislike knitting on fingerless mitts.
Very nice! I like that pattern a lot too. May need to try it...
Those are lovely - gorgeous teal blue colour
Lovely knits, even more lovely Jingles ;)
Well, oooh. I have been eyeing that pattern for a possible gift, every time I see it, I like it. Yours are pretty sweet!
Pretty mitts!
Those are wonderful!
Beautiful! I think I've found what I'm making my daughter Sarah for Christmas.
Those are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
Love that last photo - the soft brown of Jingles and the teal gloves... she's very photogenic! :D
Rachel, congrats on winning the pot at Raining Sheep. I'm jealous.
My husband is almost finished with the large craft room in our basement. I am giddy with designs for projects -- sewing, scrapbooking, crochet, yada yada... are you jealous? All the rooms in my house that now hold bits and pieces of my projects will be assembled under one heavenly dome.
Your mitts look lovely, such pretty cabling - and timely, so glad you got some knitting in for you before the gift knitting :)
Jingles is pretty distracting ;) She is beautiful.
P.S. That album was on repeat on our drive, love, love, love it. Thank you.
I love yours so much so I started a pair on Monday. I have never used a chart before and that is just about where I am at. the chart is sorta of small. How did you manage?
I love those mitts, I wish I could knit. It's also cool the photo of you and the moose!!

Ooh just gorgeous! I've been wanting to attempt some fingerless mitts for a few of the girls at work who are ALWAYS freezing. Thought it'd be a fun Christmas gift! Yours are just gorgeous!
